Phytogeogr. value: An East-Mediterranean species.
An important and one of the most beautiful shrubs or small
trees of Palestinian Maqui. Met with principally in the more mes-
ophytic types of the Quercus calliprinos - Crataegus Azarolus
association. Arbutus Unedo, which is often reported from Palestine
is certainly not a Palestinian plant.
