Henan Province, Neixiang Xian: Baotianman Nature Reserve,
qili gou. 33°24’N; 111°55’E. Elevation 750-1100 m. Along
west-flowing, boulder-strewn stream; tributary of the Tuan
River. Dominant second growth trees: Acer (3 spp.), Catalpa,
Cercis, Euptelea, Zelkova, Ailanthus, Quercus; Sinowilsonia
local; forest floor mostly steep, dry, stony. Tree ca. 8 m tall;
flower heads dark green.
