BREADFRUIT OF THE PACIFIC ISLANDS m _ F.nnim MORACEAE Artocarpus altilis (Parkinson) Fosberg (3huuk Dublon Island Nukuno Village Fruits oblong, medium-sized, light-weight. Rough. Seedless. Leaves deeply dissected with 3-4, mosdy four pairs of very widely separated lobes with undulate margins. Dark, dull, smooth blade with green veins. Profuse long hairs upper veins and many short hairs on blade. Very rough underside with dense short hairs on lower surfaces and longer appressed hairs on veins. Tree -1 m. Ethnobotany - Informant: Bill Raynor. Early season cultivar, May-June. Good for boiling.
