. BREADFRUIT OF THE PACIFIC ISLANDS Eniken (Aniken) MORACEAE Artocarpus altilis (Parkinson) Fosberg Chuuk Uman Island Fruits immature. Large, asymmetrical, elongate (up to 60x15 cm) with thin stalk deeply inserted. Pale green, rough with hard, raised, pointed, conical sections. Seedless. Large leaves moderately to deeply dissected with three pairs of close, overlapping lobes and big tip on upper l/3rd. Wide sinus base. Smooth, dull blade with green veins. Few long hairs on upper veins. Underside slightly rough. Tree ^13 m. Ethnobotany - Informant: Bill Raynor. Late season cultivar. Longest fruit of any Chuukese cultivar.
