Jequití; elev. 790 m; dense cerrado on rocky
(quartzite) hillside and woods along stream;
soil sandy. Arching shrub 2.5 m tall; outer
3 tepals externally red, internally white;
inner 3 tepals white; flowers fragrant; fruit
green, red inside.
