PLANTS OF THE GAOLIGONG SHAN REGION, YUNNAN, CHINA Betulaceae Betula Gongshan: Cikai. Near Yipsaka Lake, 2.1 direct km by SSE of the Heipa Pass tunnel on the new road from Gongshan to the Dulong Jiang valley, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Elev. 3450 m 27° 45' 18.1" N, 98° 27' 21" E NW facing 30-60° slope Thicket Undisturbed. Alpine meadow along rocky slope dominated by Bamboo and Rhododendron. Tree 3-5 m tall. Young fruit green. Occasional. Growing in rocky field. In loam on granite.
