Peru: Depto. Amazonas. Road to the south of
Laguna Pomacochas, leading to Florida (on side road
from Ruta 5N at Pomacochas town, c. 32 km N of
Pedro Ruiz Gallo).
S 05° 50' 03.5"; W IT 55' 25.5"; 2451 m elev.
Moderately branched, terrestrial tree, 10 m tall, growing
in remnant patch of forest along roadside. Stems whitish
with brown lenticels; ligules, petioles, and inflorescence
axes covered with dense whitish indument (glabrescent on
petioles); leaflets medium green abóve with sparse,
whitish indument (glabrescent in older leaves), densely
white-pubescent below; buds pale purple-red with dense
indument; flowers pale green, with a brownish-red region
around the disc; fruits turning reddish-purple to darker
