  • Description

    Pileus 7-8.5 cm diam, convex to plane, surface rugose, subtomentose, greenish brown at the margin, yellowish brown (5E7) at the center (4D6) or 4D6 overall; margin entire, sometimes decurved. Context whitish, uncahnging when bruised or very slow becoming reddish brown. Odor strong pleasant, taste none. Tubes adnate, depressed around the stipe, greenish yellow (2A4), greenish green (3B3), becoming brownish when old, 0.8-2.3 cm long, unchanging when injured. Pores concolorous, 1-2 per mm. Stipe 4.2-10.5 cm long, 1-1.4 cm near apex, tapered, equal to slightly clavate, curved; surface scabrous, brown scabrosities on whitish and reticulate background. White mycelium at the base.
