The New York Botanical Garden Moraceae Artocarpus alt His (Parkinson) Fosberg Det. N.C. Zerega, 2000 Federated States of Micronesia: Pohnpei. U Province, Awak village, in northern Pohnpei. In the garden of Mark Kostka. Tree -10- 15m. Leaves deeply lobed, rough below with velcro-like hairs. Veins lime green above with short hairs. Fruit was partially eaten by a fruit bat. When ripe the peduncle is pulled out with the core and a large hole is lefruit behind, larger than with other varieties. White latex throughout. Local name Mei saip, a smooth variety. N.C.
