The New York Botanical Garden Artocarpus altilis (Parkinson) Fosberg Det. N.C. Zerega, 2000 Moraceae Federated States of Micronesia: Pohnpei. U Province, Awak village, in northern Pohnpei. In the garden of Mark Kostka. Tree ~10-15m. Leaves with short hairs above and below. Fruit surface light green when immature, brown when ripe, flat but rough to the touch due to dried up stigmas. Fruit flesh yellow, creamy, and sweet when ripe. Seedless. White latex throughout. Local name Meiniwe, a smooth variety. N.C. Zerega 174 T.J. Motley & D.R. Zerega 21 Aug 2000 04204222
