Mature mixed hardwood (Quercus rubra and Acer saccharum dominant, with Acer pensylvanicum, Betula lenta, Fagus, Halesia, Ilex montana, Tilia) with sparse Tsuga and schistose rock outcrops. on dead Acer saccharum.
