Thallus corticolous, crustose, immersed, brown, esorediate; lirellae black, superficial, raised, short fusiform and becoming distinctly stellate; exciple black, KOH-; ascospores colorless, 8-per ascus, 6-celled, fusiform, (26)-29-30 x 8-8.5|im.
