G. de Gennaro Montserrat, St. Anthony Parrish, Garibaldi Hill. 16° 44’ 36.0” N, 62° 13’ 31.0” W, elevation ca. 15 m North side of Belham valley on road to Salem. Roadside vegetation. Branching tree ca. 10 m. Bark grayish-brown. Peduncle and calyx yellow-green, the inner portion bright red; four petals bright orangish-red transitioning to pale reddish orange with red speckles, the larger petal with the inner surface pale yellow transitions to creamy white at the tip, the entire surface speckled red; filafnents bright red transitioning to pff-white at base & tips; stigma pale greenish-yellow.
