Scambling herb. Fruit green with white black-tipped spines, turning light brown with age;
filaments medusoid, pink-purple; anthers white; petals white; flowers in heads on green
peduncles; fruit green with white, black-tipped spines, turning brown with age, spines
turning light brown.
