H-l, near R-l. Shrub to 5 meters in height. Rich
sand soil; elsewhere on sterile sand. Shady; else-
where in full light. One of the most abundant plants
in the dune scrub, the pine forest, the oafc-ericad
type, and along the margins of depressions in the
mixed forest.
Collected to authenticate vegetation studies
