Mixed Dipterocarp forest, associates include: Shorea,
Lauraceae, Myrtaceae.
Hanging above Sungai Posang. Rare.
Morphology:
Climber, 5 m long. Leaves succulent, pale light green
beneath with yellow mid-rib raised. Inflorescence 8 cm long,
pedicel stalked, brownish-purple. Flower bud yellowish-
purple. Calyx minute, corolla 3 cm diam., red w/yellow
succulent glands atop, raised. Corona yellow, raised on
purple stalks, base of ovary pale pink.
