with Gaillandia, Stachytarpheta, Spermacoce, Chrysopogon and Chamaesyce
under Cocos.
Herb to 3 ft; stem matte pale green tinged faintly reddish; leaves dark dull
green above, dull pale green below w/ raised whitish-green veins; peduncle,
pedicel & calyx pale green; corolla deep dark orange-scarlet, corona yd low-
orange; pod glaucous pale green; seeds chestnut brown w/ paler margin,
hairs glossy white.
