300 m. Along path to Don Alfonso Juan's house, ten
meters from canoe landing. Area planted with bananas.
Little-branched herb to 1.5m, flowers finger-
shaped, 3-8cm long. N.V. natsampar (Shuar)
cabeza de Santa Isabella (Spanish)
Principal interest: leaves included in remedy
given for symptoms resembling colo-rectal carcinoma
(chronic rectal bleeding). Also included in remedy
for symptoms resembling oral carcinoma, rheumatoid
arthritis, and chronic stomach pain.
