Evergreen forest on nearly flat to rolling limestone terrain. 17021’N, 88°55’W; alt. ca. 100 m. Shrub 3 m. tall, with strong distinctive pleasant aroma. Spikes first hanging, then erect and white in flowering stage, then hanging again in fruiting stage. With Piper cayoense, P. aduncum, P. jacquemontianum, P. amalago. Coll.: M. Nee & P.
