on the Santa Domingo - Puerto Limón road. Farmland and
ravine with strongly disturbed forest remnants.

Terrestrial. Hygrophile on shaded partly muddy ground.
Nom. Vern.: Ishan-ara (Colorado);
Use: The whole plant is used for a bath ("baño de
fresco").
