Stems ca. 8-10 in a close clump, to 8 ft. high,
nude, slender and glossy below, leaves 4-5,
spreading, glossy above, dullish below. Fruit red
when mature, smooth, spadices pendulous.
Fruit 12-13 mm. diam., 13-14 high.
Costa Rica: GUANACASTE: Trail between Las
