Description
spore length: 7.4 - 8.7 microns; spore width: 3.1 microns; spore shape: elliptical; spore texture: smooth; spore color: clear; spore print color: cinnamon. This species was collected annually in a manicured yard with white pines nearby. All the white pines have produced this species at one time or another. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Suillus granulatus.
