spore length: 12 - 13.5 microns; spore width: 4 - 4.5 microns; spore shape: subfusiform - spindle-shaped; spore texture: smooth; spore color: pale brown; spore print color: reddish brown. This Genus is also classified as Boletus separans because both mushrooms have the same macrochemical reactions. When young the pores are white becoming yellow as the voucher shows.
