July 5, 1919,
Dear Dr. Bydherg:
X an inspecting for* white pine “blister rust this summer in the
States of utah and Hevada. On the second instand, when up at 5orth
Ogden, I noticed HiMscun Trionum well established in a corn field; not
one plant, "but many of then* (North Ogden is five miles north of the
city of Qgden)* I notice that B*& B. give the time of flowering‘of this
plant as Auguat-Sept. But you will easily infer from the fruit that
these plants were in bloom in «Tune! I had no press with me at the tirr.
but I am sending the specimen I tokk as poorly dried as it is for a rec-
ord, as I do not find it included in your ’’Flora of the Rocky fountains?
I also enclose another specimen which I take to be introduced . *hi
is one of the crucifers I collected at Providence, Utah. (Providence i£
a litt3.e town two or three miles south of Logan) •
Trusting that you have had a profitable spring, and that you
will get a good vacation, I remain,
Sincerely,
,¿7
