Level area with some Salix humboldtiana, Guadua chacoensis,
Coussapoa ovalifolia, Urera laciniata, brushy remnants of
tropical evergreen forest.
Weak-branched shrub 2.5 m. tall. Spikes hanging, the male
portion yellow-green, the few female flowers at the base of each
spike with green bract, inconspicuous.
