Mature wet forest that receives ca. 8800 mm rainfall annually. Common, but little in flower.

Description
Epiphyte. Leaves dark green above, paler beneath. Inflorescence pedunculate. Rachis, peduncle, pedicels red. Calyx yellow with red tint. Corolla bud yellow. Common, but little in flower. UNICATE. Plants pretreated with EtOH.
