Above cloud forest. Not dense, canopy open, 6-12 m high with emergents to 20 m
Few low herbs, Neurolepis pittieri common along ridge, tree ferns and palms
(Catoblastus prae-morsus) dominating the understorey, mosses and epiphytes
abundant. Poorly developed friable soil with peaty humic topsoil. Slope inclinatior
17-44°. 1685 malt.
Epiphyte on tree. Compact flower head. Bracts green with brown venation, brown al
tips.
