¿A 2Q,\ Flora Mexicana ComarostaphyUs polifolia (HBK) Kl. subsp. minor (Small) Diggs Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Ca. 13 km NE of San Antonio Pena Nevada, (ca. 1.5 km. NE of Santa Lucia), in a gypsum- limestone area. Gyp area with Pinus arizonica stormiae, P. nelsonii, Arctostaphylos, Comarostaphylos, Mortonia, Rhus virens, Lindelya,. Phacelia,. Scutellaria etc. Limestone area with Philadelphus, Mortonia,. Quercus, Cercocarpus rzedowskii, C. medranous, Vauquilinia c. karwinskyi, Comarostaphylos, Pinus nelsoni, Rhus virens, Lindleya, Fendlera etc. Common on gypsum, less so on limestone; rounded shrubs to 8 ft tall, 10 ft wide, fr. dark blue, bleeding purple ink onto paper. near 23°47’N, 99°54’W 2100 m.
