Elaphoglo ssum	. :
An epiphytic rhizofchadaius fern the
rhizomes stout densely covered with
"black scales, stipes brown stiff
covered with large dark brown scales, ;
fronds simple very dark green and
glossy above dull beneath and very
leathery, fertile fronds smaller and
more slender covered densely with black
spores beneath, the mid-rib of the
sterile fronds scaley with a scattering
of scales down each side of the mid-rib
on the under side glabrous above. Common
and sometimes locally dominant on tree
trunks and branches with Asplenium-
Loxogramme-Pleopeltis in Nuxia congesta-
Juniperus procera-Podocarpus-Xymalos mon
osperma-Agaureia evergreen forest on a
gentle slope of the mountain.
