Tree on edge of mangrove swamp; trunk ca 8" diam, many
rising from base; "bark light colored; flowers terminal,
in pairs, or cauliflorus; calyx green, thick, corolla
pale, lime grene, irregularly edged; rose coloration at
.base; glandular inside inner lip; stamens with yellow
green filaments1, brown and green anthers; style green,
stigma brown, ovary green; unpleasant smell; half of
broken fruits on ground, dry thin green shell, round.
1.8 mi. strip on the north bank of rio Guaimoreto ¡between old bridge and opening of Laguna Guai-
moreto 4.5 mi. NE of Trujillo on old road to Castilla. Lat. 15? 57' 30” N; Long. 85? 54‘ 30" W.
