Smilax smallii Morong
Entangled in top of small tree in marshy area in
floodplain of Savannah River; understory of Sabal
minor and Equisetum hyemale. Site #2 (Lat. 34°03,5811;
Long. 82°38f10"), just south of small stream at
southern end of Millwood historical homesite area.
Below the 475-ft. contour (full pool for proposed
Russell Lake). Area to be impounded in mid-1980's.
