On cut-over floodplain along the Savannah River;
formerly alluvial forest. Site #85 (Lat. 34°19'55";
Long. 82°47,27u), ca. 0.5 mile north of the S. C.
181 bridge over the Savannah River. Below the
475-ft. contour (full pool for proposed Russell
Lake). Area to be impounded in the mid-1980's by
the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
