GUYANA. Barima-Waini. Barabina swamp, near Mabaruma. Downhill
of shell midden excavated by Denis Williams. 10 m. 8°12'32"N
59°49'26"W. Swamp on thick pegasse. End of dry season, soil moist but
no standing water,. Large tree with copious fruits. Fleshy fruits
dehiscent, exposing seeds with pink arils. Flowers rare, petals white
outside, white & pink inside.
