GUYANA. U. Takutu-U. Essequibo. Acarai Mts; northern foothills,
lowlands, 2-4 km S of Sipu River. 250-300 m. 1°24'N 58°51'W. Low-
lying swamp forest interspersed with slight uplands,. Tree 15 m; twigs
brown pubescent; leaves reddish tan below; fruit light brown, pubescent,
flattened globose, 1.5-3 cm dia.
