Very steep E-facing escarpment on sandstone and shale,
below pass on road from Santa Rosita (near Vallegrande) to
Juntas de Huaricongas. Polylepis, Podocarpus parlatorei
shrubland with no large trees.
Scattered in shade, only 1 or 2 flowering stems per clump.
