Climber. Common: growing on
floating mats. Stems winged,
spinescent. Pedicels red. Flowers
orange. Fruits present. Habitat:
floating mats dominated by Fuirena
umbellata, with abundant Ludwigia
nervosa. Water dark and acidic.
Substrate: sediment over sand with
a little clay.
