FRENCH GUIANA. Régina. Mt. Tortue, 11 km WNW of
Approuague river, along the "road”. 04°18'N, 52°22'W.
Elev. 200 to 450 m. Low montane rain forest on
lateritic soil. Tree, 3 m high; calyx brownish-yellow
outside; corolla lobes creamish, spreading or
reflexed. Wood specimen: U, US; vernacular name:
"Foupi".
