PLANTS OF THE GUIANAS Melastomataceae Tococa guianensis Aubl. Det. F. Michelangeli, XII 2003 GUYANA. Cuyuni-Mazaruni Region. Imbaimadai vicinity. Unnamed creek (3rd creek from Imbaimadai traveling toward Chi-Chi Falls, on left side of Mazaruni). 1.22 miles Sout East of Mazaruni base camp. Elevation: 584 m. 5°36'4.3"N 60° 12'51.2"W. Primary, alluvial forest. White sand and sandstone. Eperua and Dicymbe dominant. Erect herb. Inflorescence a terminal panicle. Flower: caylx yellow-red, petals bright pink; style capitate.
