The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Melastomataceae Tococa guianensis Aubl. det. F. Michelangeli, 2007 Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Ichilo, 4 km S of San Germán (on the Buena Vista-Villa Tunari highway) on road to Rio Moile. 17°22’31”S, 64°06’47”W. alt. 290 m. Disturbed lowland tropical evergreen forest, on nearly level land, now much disturbed and cleared for pastures. Treelet up to 2 m tall. Inflorescence axis winged, pink.
