jenmanii, Unonopsis glaucopetala.
Tree, 20 m tall, diam. above buttresses 0.5 m.
Buttresses 2-4 x 1.5-3 x 0.2-0.3 m, partially continuing
in surface roots. Bark grey-brown to light brown,
relatively smooth, lenticellate. Lenticels round, 3-5 mm
diam., irregularly scattered. Dead bark 0.1 mm thick,
dark brown. Living bark 7-8 mm thick, light brown, but
outer 2-3 mm more orange-brown, layered, scented
bean-like. Outer layer black (dry), inner layers
producing exudate. Exudate red, clear, sticky, in
coalescent droplets. Wood light brown. Twigs with red
exudate, with conspicuous leaf scars. Young leaf buds
brown-velutinous. (continued on next label)
