Good quality, seasonally dry tropical semi-ever- green forest ("bosque mesofilo de montaffa") ; leading dominants in'.udescending order according to Importance Values: Ternstroemla lineata (the most frequenttree) , Quercus laurina, Symplocar- pos prlonophylla, Senecio albonervlus; other treespp.: Styrax argenteus, Oreopanax peltatus. Quercus obtusata. Arbutus xalapensis; tallest trees 18-25 m, not forming a stratum; mid-height trees forming a stratum@.11-18m; lowest stratum (3 5-11 m; a few large trees w/ Loranthac.
