Fronds in a clump, with 40 green and an
undetermined no. of dead blades.
Good quality, seasonally dry tropical semi-ever-
green forest ("bosque mesofilo de montaffa") ;
leading dominants in'.udescending order according
to Importance Values: Ternstroemla lineata (the
most frequenttree) , Quercus laurina, Symplocar-
pos prlonophylla, Senecio albonervlus; other
treespp.: Styrax argenteus, Oreopanax peltatus.
Quercus obtusata. Arbutus xalapensis; tallest
trees 18-25 m, not forming a stratum; mid-height
trees forming a stratum@.11-18m; lowest stratum
(3 5-11 m; a few large trees w/ Loranthac. (Clado-
colea grahamii, Struthanthus condensatus) . Pre-
valent groundlayer spp.: Eupatorium collinum,
Archibaccharis sp. 5 additional spp.: Asplenlum
monanthes, Adiantum poiretii, Didymaea alslnoi-
des; shrubs: Ribes affine, Cornus excelsa. Ilex
tolucana; & Quercus, Styrax. & Persea seedlings.
Collected spp. rimming the edge (12558, 12559,
12560) or inside (12570, 12571) a deep sinkhole.
