Steep-sided valley between massive red sandstone hills, disturbed scrubby forest, with some Alnus acuminata along stream, much Myrsine.

Description
Tree 8 m. tall, 20 cm. in diameter. Inflorescences mostly erect, the flowers open (2:00 P.M., sunny) and visited by bees; stamens white.
