PADINA Adanson
Ulva umbilicalis Blanco FL Filip. (1837) 842; ed. 2 (1845) 581; ed. 3, 3
(1879) 261 = PADINA sp.
Blanco’s description applies unmistakably to Padina, this
genus being the only one known from the Archipelago that
conforms at all with the characters indicated by him. It is
locally abundant. Ulva umbiliealis Blanco, is perhaps nothing
but a form of Padina, pavonina (Linn.) Gaill.	- »
