Shrub, 2 m.; pedicels and calyx covered with red wooly
hairs; calyx and corolla each 5 lobed; petals pink with
reddish midvein, acuminate; stamens inserted on corolla,
10; anthers yellow; filaments pale yellow; pistil 1;
style cream color.
At end of Bamboo Trail, on river terrace of Rio Tambopata.
