2.5 m. Growing next to stream. Stems succulent, green,
ca. 3 cm dbh; leaves to 32 x 32 cm; inflorescences axillary
on old wood; flowers 5-merous; hypanthium and calyx
red; corolla pink; in bud, filaments 0.94 mm long, anthers
1.87 mm long, single pore dorsally inclined, connective
with dorsal tooth; stigma capitate, 1.25 mm dia.; ovary
inferior, 5-celled.
