TERRITORIO FEDERAL AMAZONAS: Dept. Atures. Puerto
Ayacucho. 6 km. north of Puerto Ayacucho on road
to El Burro. Large igneous "laja" outcrop east of
road.
Erect subshrub 1.5 m. tall in edge of tree island in
savanna at base of laja outcrop. Leaves medium green
on upper surface, somewhat shiny; paler green on lower
surface with yellowish nerves. Petals translucent
white; anthers magenta.
