San Carlos de Rio Negro, ca. 20 km S of confluence of Rio Negro
and Brazo Casiquiare; lat. 1°56'N, long. 67°03'W; altitude 119 m;
(average rainfall 3400-3600 mm/year).
Roadside, near small canos, 4.5-5.0 km NNE of San Carlos on
Solano road. Sub-shrub, ±1.5 m high, stems square, winged angles;
all parts (incl. petals) with viscid, pink, glandular hairs. Petals,
filaments, & style white; anthers pink. Capsule 2-celled.
