On gravelly cutbank in yellow pine forest. Several plants on gravelly cutbank. Gray-tan sandy soil, pH ca. 5.5.

Corollas red to blue-violet, lobes more blue; calyx violet tinged; anthers black, white along the sutures. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
