Patch of trees on E-facing slope, surrounded by agricultural
fields. With Juglans nigra, Carya ovata, Celtis occidentalis
in a small patch of woodland which has grown up since the
1960s.
Tree 18 m. tall, 30 cm. in diameter; bark dark, flaky.
Flowers past, a few very young fruits developing.
Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Wood specimen
taken from about 5 m. above ground, from erect, main
trunk.
