  • Description

    cf REH 9783 (Qld, Feb 2013). Pileus 3.5-8 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, subtomentose, dark gray to nearly black with even margin. Flesh white with light brownish yellow spots when exposed, otherwise unchanging, with mild odor and mild taste. Tubes adnexed, white when young becoming vinaceous pink, staining pinkish brown. Stipe 5-11 cm long, 7-13 mm broad, equal to tapering at base, dry, whitish at apex, finely scabrous above, more obviously so and densely below with coarse longitudinal ridges to subreticulate, less so near base, white at base, with interior white, unchanging.
